OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our aim is to provide a range of quality products at competitive prices. I will not buy equipment, materials etc. on the Internet, eBay or craft channels. I believe it is false economy and it discourages people from interacting with one another.
To provide a friendly, helpful service and create an environment conducive to learning new skills and developing existing ones.
To support individuals on their creative journey, allowing them to develop at their own pace but at the same time, encouraging them to be adventurous.
Your life is your work of art.

18th Jan By now I'm sure you've all recovered from your Christmas celebrations. I hope you had a good time and that Father Christmas brought you everything you wanted. Did you cope with The Big Freeze? Let's say no more about the weather except that my central heating has not been working - we need a new boiler!! My bathroom pipes got frozen too - major expense!! Donations gratefully received....... I hope you enjoyed our Christmas party. I know I did. I would like to thank Ann for organizing the Bran Tub and Eddie for the Tombola. Everyone was so generous donating prizes. The raffle was brilliant. The hamper was our first prize and it was put together by Christine C. It was won by Christine Middleton. Lisa made a fantastic floral arrangement for our second prize and this was won by Mel. Yvonne won third prize which I wanted. It was Suzanne's dead good altered box. Mr. Edward Timpson, MP for Crewe and Nantwich was our special guest. I was thrilled when he accepted my invitation. I wanted him to see what a talented lot you all are and to have a look at your fantastic work. He also started our draw for the raffle prizes. I'd like to thank him very much for taking the time to be with us. Did everyone like their Secret Santa parcels? The Ludford Artists exhibited their work in store throughout December and I feel that for our very first exhibition, it has been very well received. Lots of people have dropped in to see it and there are some great comments in our guest book. Our next exhibition features the work of Jean Briers and Katharine Laird, collaboratively known as 'Fineart 53. The preview evening is on Friday 5th February from 7 p.m - 9 p.m. Not to be missed, the work will be on show throughout the month. We also have another artist lined up for March which I am really excited about, but more about that nearer the time. I hope you are plodding on with our January swap - The Altered CD case. I've received a couple already. For a while they will be displayed in store. Suzanne has come up with a couple more ideas for future swaps and if anyone else has an idea just let me know. I am going to be planning a date for a PLAY DAY when anyone can drop in and contribute to a collaborative piece of work. WATCH THIS SPACE!! Next Saturday is Sue's workshop - TREES AND ANGEL'S/ART DOLLS. If you haven't booked a place, well - you need to or you'll be missing out........................... I'll be sorting more dates out in the not too distant future but until then I send you my best wishes for 2010
